One of the most important facts for a successful Port Douglas holiday is the location of your accommodation. 

Some accommodation may be right in the town hub but noise and bustle are not always conducive to a restful holiday, and you may have to take a bit of a hike to the beach.  Others apartments and houses may offer tranquil remote locations but make it difficult to reach restaurants, shops and attractions. 

OMKARA can offer you the perfect beachside location, being only a few steps from Four Mile Beach so you can simply pop over  there in your swimwear, we even provide beach mats. You can take an easy stroll into the Port Douglas village centre with all the shops and restaurants, it will take a comfortable 10 minutes to walk to centre of town.  Its also only takes about 12 minutes walk to the marina with all the boating facilities and tours to the Great Barrier Reef. 

Most tours will pick up from OMKARA beachfront villas. So no need to hire a car unless you wish to do self drive tours.  We can also arrange airport transfers to and from Cairns.

All this ease of access yet we are in a quiet street with only 10 properties, no noisy traffic, buses or trucks.  But we do have masses of bird life,  and many various species of colourful butterflies in the lush tropical gardens that surround us.
